National Airlines

Air India is the flag carrier airline of India. Its is also called national airline of India. It was owned by the Government of India, but now in oct. 2021 TATA group is new owner of this airline.  Air India was 2.4 billion dollar debt ridden airline. Tata Sons won a 100% stake in Air India.

The airline was founded by J. R. D. Tata as Tata Airlines in 1932; later in 1953 Indian government acquired it. Since then it was owned by government. After this Air India went in dbt and till now it in debt that’s why government decided to sell it to the private players and TATA sons win the bid. Each nation has its own airline, which is owned by government.
