Missiles
Missile is a rocket with propelled explosive weapon designed to deliver a warhead with accuracy and high speed. Nowadays all missiles contain guidance and control mechanism that why they also called guided missiles.
All countries have huge amount of different types of missiles to defend themselves from the threats.
There are different types of missiles some are as :
A ballistic missile is a missile (rocket) that follows a ballistic trajectory with the objective of delivering one or more warheads to a predetermined target.
A cruise missile is a guided missile used against terrestrial targets that remain in the atmosphere and flies the major portion of its flight path at approximately constant speed.
A supersonic missile exceeds the speed of sound (Mach 1) but is not faster than Mach-3. Most supersonic missiles travel at a speed between Mach-2 and Mach-3.
A hypersonic missile is a vehicle that achieves a speed five times faster than the speed of sound, crossing Mach 5.
India has its own missile system and there are lots of missiles which we did not disclose to the world.
India is self reliant in the field of missile production. Now India is selling Bramhos Supersonic Missiles to the neighbouring countries.
Defence is an important section for competitive exams like IAS, SSC, RRB, CPO, KVS, NVS, RPSC, TNSC, MPPSC, UPSC, Railways, Banking and so many other states and central government job entrance exams.
We compiled list of Indian Missiles which could be asked in exams, You can download pdf file of this post.
